CLASS 3A AREA IV DISTRICTS – At Vian, the Wolverines defeated Stigler 57-49 behind the scoring of Denver Coffee with 19 points, Eric Casey with 15 points, and Trevon Taylor with 10 points. Stigler (7-14) led 26-19 before collapsing the second half to Vian (12-9). Vian will meet the Eufaula-Oktaha winner at Oktaha on Thursday while Stigler gets the loser, also on Thursday.
Haskell defeated Kellyville 99-66 thanks to 23 points from Micah Hayes, 11 points from Kolbee Miller, and 10 points from Tre Lang. The Haymakers (13-10) led 45-33 at the half on their way to a dominant victory. Haskell will play at regionals at Verdigris Thursday against Verdigris or Metro Christian.
CLASS 2A AREA II DISTRICTS – At Hulbert, Parker Taylor scored 18 points, and Mason Fielden scored 15 points to lead the Riders to a 65-25 win over Porter. With their loss to Hulbert (17-8), Porter’s season comes to an end. Hulbert hosts Kiefer at 8 p.m.
CLASS 2A AREA IV DISTRICTS – Gore saw their season come to an end as they fell 44-41 to Wister and finish with a 2-20 record.
Warner (9-14) also had its season come to a conclusion, losing 51-41 to Liberty despite 10 points each from K.T. Parker and Jacob Crabtree.
CLASS A AREA II REGIONALS – The Okay Mustangs fell to Coyle 74-61 to bring their season to an end at 16-8.
CLASS B AREA II REGIONALS – Braggs saw their season come to an end as Varnum defeated the Wildcats 85-57. Braggs ends the season with a record of 16-10.
CLASS 3A AREA IV DISTRICTS – at Kellyville, Haskell won 58-55. For the Lady Haymakers (6-15), DeNora Wheeland scored 20 points, and JoAnna VanBrunt scored 15 points. DeNora Wheeland was 11-13 from the free throw line in the second half to help clinch the win for Haskell.
Vian won at home 57-34 over Stigler. For the Lady Wolverines (19-2), Nese Walters had 18 points, Erica Casey had 17 points, and Jennifer Hunter had 14 points. For the Lady Panthers (13-9), Nina Echelle had 11 points. Vian gets the Eufaula-Oktaha winner, Stigler the loser, both at Oktaha on Thursday..
CLASS 2A AREA II DISTRICTS – At Hulbert, the Lady Riders defeated Porter 55-38 behind the scoring of Tiffany Thompson with 30 points while Megan Cox and Bailey Drywater had 10 points each. With its loss to Hulbert (15-8), Porter ends its season with a record of 3-20. The Lady Riders face Keifer at 6:30 tonight at Hulbert.
CLASS 2A AREA IV DISTRICTS – Warner won 38-18 at Liberty thanks to Raven Girty and Morgan Barton with 11 points each. The Lady Eagles (17-6) led 26-10 at the half, never let down and draws Preston at 6:30 tonight.
Gore saw its season come to an end with a 48-29 loss to Wister, ending with an 0-18 record.
CLASS A AREA II REGIONALS – At Coyle, Porum defeated Waukomis 48-39 led by Aubrie Ayers, Katie McCullar, and Carly Anderson with 10 points each. The Lady Panthers are 20-6 and face Kremlin-Hillsdale at 1:30 p.m. today, at Coyle.
CLASS A AREA IV REGIONALS – At Kiowa, Webbers Falls defeated Stuart 47-43 behind the scoring of Autumn Cato with 16 points and Cammie Farrar with 11 points. Rhaelyn Jarrard hit two crucial free throws for the Lady Warriors (14-12) to help secure the victory.
CLASS B AREA II DISTRICTS – Braggs saw their season come to an end as they lost to Henryetta Wilson 41-28. Braggs ends their season 7-19.
6A EAST REGIONAL – The Muskogee Roughers had two wrestlers advance to the regional finals. Dawaylon Barnes made the regional championship bout at 152 pounds while Jacobe Smith is in the title bout at 160.
4A EAST REGIONAL – Ryan Waltman of Fort Gibson decisioned Leo Naumann of Cascia Hall 6-4 to reach the finals, as did fellow Tiger Zach Peterson at 170 in a 3-2 overtime decision against Ben Sinor of Catoosa.
At 145, Wagoner’s Brad Boswell won 6-4 over Jim Wilson of Cleveland and another Bulldog, Tucker Hoffman, decisioned Micah Metcalf of Catoosa 3-2. Wagoner’s Roman Rodriguez pinned Brandon Ferguson of Catoosa at the 1:04 mark at 183 where he’ll face Cale Wilson of Sallisaw, who scored a 17-7 decision against Justin Cates of Fort Gibson.
Wagoner’s Derek Marshall at 285 pinned Mikey Brown of Stilwell in 4:38.
Teamwise the Bulldogs are third heading into today’s matches, trailing Cushing by 13.5 points, followed by Locust Grove. Fort Gibson is eighth and Checotah is in 14th.
3A AT PAWHUSKA — Will Tiger of Sequoyah reached the finals at 126 pounds at the 3A meet at Pawhuska. He’ll wrestle Briar Stoop of Newkirk after an injury default win against Phillip Day of Blackwell. Seth Fritts of Keys reached the finals at 160 pounds by beating Kaleb Reece Jay on a fall at 5:10. He’ll face Jacob Vap of Newkirk in the championship match.
