Prep roundup and today's schedule


VIAN 7, STIGLER 4 – Josh Bolin was 3-for-4 with an RBI and Colan Cole (3-0) was the winning pitcher as the 3A No. 6 Wolverines (21-5) won on the road against Stigler (14-11). For Stigler, Seth Sandlin had a double and Quontez Jim was 2-for-3. Sandlin pitched six innings, giving up five hits and recording nine strikeouts.

SEQUOYAH 8, OKTAHA 4 – The Indians defeated Oktaha on the road thanks to Hunter Soap and Billy Sunday with two RBIs each and Quinton Johnston and Zach Parish who were both 2-for-4. The winning pitcher for Sequoyah (5-9) was Jeremiah Fixin.

OWASSO 4, MUSKOGEE 1 – For Muskogee, Harris Jones had an RBI single, and Dakota Morse (3-3) suffered the loss as the Roughers (16-11) lost at home Monday.


OKTAHA SPLITS DOUBLEHEADER – The 4A No. 6 Lady Tigers shut out Checotah 11-0 in the first of two games played at Oktaha Monday. Kallee King had two RBIs, a double, and a home run, her eighth of the year, Bailey Sylva had an RBI and Tye Edmonson had a double. Callie Barnes was the winning pitcher for Oktaha.

In game two, Sequoyah defeated Oktaha thanks to a highly productive offensive performance. Hayleigh Galvan and Julie Scrapper both had three-run homers, Kelsey Leach had two RBIs and Merissa Smith had an RBI. Mariah Hooper was the winning pitcher for Sequoyah (12-8). For Oktaha, King had a double and an RBI and Barnes was the pitcher.


LADY ROUGHERS FINISH FIFTH – Muskogee finished fifth at the Stillwater Invitational with a team score of 363. Hannah Jones shot an 83 to finish 12th individually. Also for Muskogee, Haley Schuler shot an 89, Sydnie Rosson shot a 95, Brittany Felts shot a 96 and Katie Matthews shot a 98.
