Girls basketball

MULDROW 48, STIGLER 42 — The Lady Panthers (7-11) led by one going into a tight fourth quarter until free throws pushed the margin out in the late going for 4A No. 12 Muldrow, a finalist in the Old Fort Classic in Fort Gibson on Saturday.

Stigler was coming off a win over 3A No. 16 Wilburton on Tuesday. Mackenzie Maxwell had 13 points for the game, but almost half the game with foul trouble.

MIDWAY 53, PORTER 31 — Hailee Truesdell had 13 points and Courteni Conley and Kristy Sawvel each had 12 points as Class B No. 12 Midway (18-3, 8-0 Riverside Conference) rolled to a win.

Porter (3-14) trailed 23-8 after one quarter and outscored Midway 19-16 over the middle two quarters but managed just one field goal  and four points in the fourth quarter. Leading the Lady Pirates was Tenisha Carmichael with 12 points.

Boys basketball

Boys summaries from Muldrow-Stigler and Midway-Porter were not reported by the coaches and could not be obtained by press time. Muldrow defeated Stigler 64-35. No score was available on Porter-Midway.
