Former Muskogee girls’ basketball coach Lucky Tarkington and his Stidham 7-8 grade boys’ basketball team defeated Bearden 32-30 at St. Gregory’s University in Shawnee on Saturday to capture the Organization of Rural Elementary Schools Division IV state championship.

Three members of the Redhawks were named to the All-Tournament team. Major Smith was selected as the tournament’s MVP while Javier Toomey and Jacob Banfield also earned spots.
