MUSKOGEE 79, GATEWAY ACADEMY 39 – The Roughers opened up a 13-point lead by halftime and never looked back in beating Gateway Academy on Saturday in the Faith Family Classic in Dallas.

Muskogee (2-0) was led in scoring by Tramal Ivy who finished with 24 points. Anthony King ended the game with 13 points while David Beasley had 11.

The Roughers next play on Tuesday at Sapulpa.

SEQUOYAH 64, RIVERSIDE 62 – Sequoyah’s Kris Collins grabbed an offensive rebound and put in a shot from six feet out at the buzzer to give the Indians a season-opening win over Riverside.

The two teams were nip and tuck the entire game with the score tied at 33-33 at the half. Caisen Green led Sequoyah with 20 points while Quinton Johnston finished with 10 points.

Sequoyah resumes action on Tuesday when it hosts Keys.
