Tahlequah and Jenks are the lone unbeaatens in the Muskogee Slug-Out after a long pool play day on Friday.
Muskogee finished up the day at 2-1 with wins over Westmoore (12-9) and Sequoyah (15-4), before falling 11-5 to Union in the final game of the day. On the day, Dee Emarthle went 7-for-11 with two home-runs and eight RBIs.
The Jenks Lady Trojans went home without a loss, outscoring opponents 39-22. The Lady Trojans beat Sequoyah 12-7, Poteau 16-7 and Union 11-8. Jenks, Union and Muskogee are still in contention for a spot in the finals out of the Muskogee pool as well as Westmoore (2-1), which beat Sequoyah 19-7 and Poteau 11-3 before falling to Muskogee
Sequoyah and Poteau each came out of the round robin winless in three games.
In the Tahlequah pool, the Lady Tigers beat Tecumseh 14-0, Moore 4-1 and Red Oak 25-3. Erin Dillard picked up all three wins and improved to 11-3 overall.
Broken Arrow split on the day with an 11-3 loss to Tecumseh, and a 13-3 win over Red Oak. They’ll play Tahlequah in a key battle at 10 a.m. today as pool play resumes. The championship is at 6:45 p.m.
