All-State picks for wrestling, swimming

Muskogee’s state champion wrestlers Jacobe Smith and Dawaylon Barnes were named to the Large School East All-State team for wrestling at the Oklahoma Coaches Association all-state games to be held July 27 to Aug. 1. Smith is the 170 pound entry and Barnes the pick at 152. They are joined by Tahlequah’s Hestin Lamons, also a state champion, at 160 pounds.

In swimming, Fort Gibson placed three from its girls state championship girls team on the East squad for All-State. Leslie White, Kyla Martin and Whitney Stroup were the selections. Also slected was Brandon Walker from the boys squad. The swim meet will also take place during All State Week, July 27 through Aug. 1,
