— ROUGHERS IN TITLE GAME – Muskogee broke a 2-2 tie with a run in the home half of the fifth inning and added an insurance run in the sixth to beat Fossil Ridge (Colo.) 4-2 on Wednesday at the Coach Bob Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz. Luke Smith had two RBIs for Muskogee (8-2) while Harris Jones (2-1) went the distance on the mound to get the win, surrendering two earned runs on five hits with two strikeouts.

CHECOTAH WINS PAIR – The Wildcats (6-2) picked up a pair of wins in the Disney Festival in Orlando, Fla. Hunter Collins was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Caleb Knight threw five innings, striking out six, in a 7-3 win over Cheshire (Conn.) Academy on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the Wildcats also beat Boys Latin out of Maryland 11-4. Jack Christian was 4-for-5 at the plate and threw six innings of no earned runs. Andrew Sands was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Checotah plays Chicago Lab School at 8 a.m. today.

VIAN 13, GORE 1 (5) – The Wolverines had multi-hit games in Vian’s win over the Pirates. Denver Coffee and A.J. Rodriguez were both 2-for-3 for Vian (5-1) with Rodriguez scoring three times while Coffee scored a run and drove in one. Jon Andrews (3-0) got the win, giving up one hit while striking out two in two innings pitched while going 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs. The Wolverines face Mulhall-Orlando at 6 p.m. today in the Ripley Tournament.

BROKEN BOW 10, WAGONER 2 – The Bulldogs struggled in their final game of the Southwest Shootout on Wednesday. Joey Charboneau absorbed the loss for Wagoner (6-3) to even his record at 1-1. Tyler Milligan was 2-for-3 while Wyat Grooms was 2-for-4. The Bulldogs next play at 4:30 p.m. Monday when they host Miami.
