MHS fastpitch wraps up summer

The Muskogee Lady Roughers went 5-3 in their final fastpitch softball outing of the summer season in  the USSSA 18-under Firecracker Invitational in Denver.

After going 2-2 in pool play, Muskogee went 3-1 in bracket play, beating Colorado Next Level 12-5, Southern Cal Rage 11-10 and Colorado Stampede 13-4 but lost 8-7 to Loveland, Colo., STILO.

MHS wound up the summer 30-6.

In bracket play, Aubrey Johnson and Shaylee Rowland were the top hitters, both going 9-for-17.  Dee Emarthle was 8-for-17 and hit four home runs.  Lexi Watson was 6-for-15, Carlee Gann 5-for-12 and Brook and Bailee Hendrickson each had four hits.
