Published May 20, 2008 05:03 pm - THE PEOPLE SPEAK: Time for change was never more apparent When the supporters of one candidate choose to desecrate the campaign signs of another candidate, it shows the mentality of the people backing the former.
I am referring to the Hammons for mayor sign on West Broadway that was so delightfully embellished with a red circle and slash, the universal symbol for “not” or “don’t.” Since one must connect the supporters to their candidate, this forces one to see the candidate as an extension of his supporters. Therefore, I am more sure than before that the time for change was never more apparent. Marie Berg Muskogee
