Published July 21, 2008 04:47 pm - THE PEOPLE SPEAK: Motorcyclist drives unsafely, way too fast Within the last two to three months a young man, 15 to 18 years old or so, has acquired a new motorcycle, and he has a very strong wish to die on it.
In the Goosemenck Bend area on East Hancock Street starting somewhere in the area of Woodland, this young man, who lives along South 78th Street East, is risking his life and the life of others due to the insane speeds he drives his new toy. The thing is basically black and his helmet is also basically black. If you are the parents of this young man and you are interested in his welfare, you must remove this toy from his use or prepare for a funeral. It is just a matter of time before he slams a tree or a car. At the speeds he drives there will be zero chance of him avoiding his death. Hopefully, he will not kill someone else at the same time. His trips are erratic, but usually between 8 and 9 a.m., he travels west on Hancock Street. Gary Smith Muskogee
