Published October 17, 2009 03:30 pm - THE PEOPLE SPEAK: Inconsiderate people leave dogs behind “Hi, my name is “I don't know” because my owner who I thought loved me left when they moved. One owner came back to get my friend who lived with me. My nextdoor neighbors don’t know my name, but they are taking care of me and my puppies. My owners left me with no food or water.
“Why did you take my friend but not me? Did I do something wrong for you to do this to me?” I can only imagine how this dog feels right now. To my nextdoor neighbors who lived on South 40th Street West, it is your job to take care of your own animals. It's not my job. My job is to to take care of my animals. I feel sorry for the dog you took because what kind of person only takes one dog and leaves the other to starve? It doesn't matter whose dog it was, you needed to stand up and take responsibility for it. I am not happy with either one of you over the two dogs and puppies. Those dogs are gentle and loving. The momma dog even lets me hold her puppies, and she comes to my house when she gets hungry and I go over to feed her. I will find a good home for her and her puppies. She is better off without you anyway. I think people like this don’t deserve the right to take care of animals. I hope one day you are put into this situation like you put this dog and her puppies who doesn’t even have their eyes open yet. This is wrong. Victoria Hicks Muskogee
