WE WOULD LIKE to say thank you to so many people who have expressed their sympathy during the loss of our husband, dad and papaw, R. Lee Walkup. Many of you didn’t even realize he was sick because he didn’t want pity from people; he just wanted to make the best of the time he had here. He fought a long, hard battle for many years before he received his ultimate healing in Heaven. Thank you to everyone who prayed, sent cards, brought food, offered words of encouragement, or just thought of us during this time. Thank you also to all of the wonderful doctors and nurses that took care of Lee during this journey. You will never know how much you have blessed our family. Thank you.

CITY OF Muskogee, Mayor Bob Coburn, city manager, City Council, parks department and employees from the top to bottom. I had the awesome privilege this weekend of visiting the Garden of Lights. It was a glorious site to behold. Each display was absolutely beautiful and you just did not know what to expect next. It is evident that long hours and hard work have taken place with this project.
This is a beautiful, positive endeavor that people from all walks of life can experience and enjoy the blessing.
I have visited the light display each year and this season surpasses them all. Hats off to the Muskogee Parks Department.
