Muskogee seems to think by making the city roads that outsiders commute on look better it will grow the city, meaning resurface roadways that do not need it.
Did anyone see potholes in most of these roads that was resurfaced? They have got the wrong ideas.
They need to fix all these potholes that riddle all of Muskogee residential areas.
I have asked about 30th Street for years. You can go to new neighborhoods or old, it doesn't matter.
They worry about letting car lots park their cars on grass. I drove down Shawnee and a dealership had an old cattle trailer in front of theirs. I called the city and come to find out they couldn’t park their cars because it was on the right-of-way.
Take care of your residents and maybe they will stay and not encourage their kids to leave a dead-end town.
The city needs to use the hospital money to do anything that will improve this city even if it is spent all at once like a real grand plan.
