THANK YOU 04.19.14

Many thanks to all the businesses and homeowners who allowed those of us who were caught in last week’s hail storm to take refuge under your canopies and car ports. We didn’t have time to be polite and ask permission, but your place of safe haven certainly prevented our cars from serious damage.

The Braggs American Legion Ladies Auxiliary wants to thank all the people who gave to the Easter basket giveaway. The funds went to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research fund. A goal was set at $500 which was surpassed by a great deal.

Thank you to all of you that helped at our Work Day at Greenleaf Cemetery, which is located on U.S. 62 just west of Tahlequah. All your work was greatly appreciated. There were somewhere near 18 cemeteries that were relocated to make room for Camp Gruber. They were combined to make up what is now Greenleaf Cemetery. Over time many of the markers have suffered and have been damaged or destroyed. If anyone has family there and their grave is unidentifiable, please call (918) 478-4256 so I can update what records I have. If you would like to donate to the cemetery fund, please send a check to Greenleaf Cemetery Fund o/o Lorene Ballard at 22677 S. 479 Road, Tahlequah, OK, 74464.
