THE PEOPLE SPEAK— Councilors, do the right thing for city

This is to the brains of this city (Muskogee). Mr. Buckley, you have done nothing for this city. All you have ever done is destroy cities and make money for yourself. It’s time the city council members look for a person that cares for this city, not for his personal greed.

Our roads have never been this bad. Our city has never been destroyed by personnel interest. You need to go and get out fast. We, the taxpayers, need to make our city council members understand or get rid of them also.

If we had a strong mayor, he would work for the people and not special interest people and we would have control, not a paid city worker (manager) hired by the city council. If the mayor messes up, we impeach that person and get a new one also every four years we can elect a new mayor if this one does not do the job.

The clique in this town don’t like this, for they like this personal interest person for they control him, not the people of this city. It’s time to go to the 21st century and make this city proud. They say shop Muskogee, did you ever go to the mall? What shops? How about where all the main old buildings where? Oh that’s right you tore them down; thank you. No shopping in this area. Most people don’t shop in this town much, most of them go to Tulsa.

I beg of you, city council members, do the right thing, get rid of this man. Go find a new one that will help this town and build it up. We need to be proud again, a city that people would love to come and see the beauty of our old and new. Stop the talking and do the right thing for Muskogee.
