THE PEOPLE SPEAK — Fallin administration’s priorities are wrong

Mary Fallin has called a special session of the legislature to deal with the just ruled unconstitutional “lawsuit reform” law, a move costing state taxpayers. Nowhere on her agenda is expansion of Medicaid or the closure of Insure Oklahoma. She’d rather blame Obama because of her cowardice in the face of tea bag Okies. The so-called Sons and Daughters of Liberty might primary her next year. So helping businesses screw people over with no consequences: high priority. Hundreds of thousands of poor Oklahomans with no health care: zero priority.

The GRDA has for now escaped her push to privatize. The DOC may not. As for her "Bold Ideas", what's bold about bowing to the rich and corporate interests?

It’s been reported her and all her cronies (and everyone else in state government) enjoy possibly the best taxpayer-funded health insurance in the country. Her and Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb pay $30 out of pocket for doctor visits and $10 for prescriptions, while we pick up the rest. But Insure Oklahoma was killed because House Speaker T.W. Tea Bag Shannon doesn’t believe government should help people. In a recent Oklahoma Watch survey, he, along with Attorney General Scott Pruitt, refused to reveal what plans they were on.

The fascist hypocrite Pruitt, who’s politicized the attorney general’s office like no other, constantly rails against Obamacare. How convenient that Christians like him have no conscience.

The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) held its annual meeting in Chicago last week. ALEC is responsible for state laws such as the license-to-kill stand your ground, attacking unions and workers’ rights, and voter suppression laws, just to name a few. As one commenter said, state Republican lawmakers are too stupid to write their own laws so they get ALEC to do it for them. Guess who was a featured speaker there? Our own red-dress wearing governor, down on her knees in supplication.

And I’m betting we taxpayers footed the bill for her to trip to “promote Oklahoma values”.
