Recently our family experienced a tragedy and we lost a very loved family member to addiction. Many families are faced daily with this same helpless situation and we encourage them to continue and fight the battle to win back their souls from the grasp of those demons that take them from us.
My real purpose of this letter is to thank the individuals at Cornerstone Funeral Home for the services they provided. They went above and beyond what I know to be the norm. They extended hours and made numerous adjustments to fulfill requests of the family even though the time was over the New Year Holiday. I truly would have to say if you were not aware you would have thought our Phyllis had been a member of their family to the extent that they even shed a tear or two with us due to the hopelessness of the situation to have lost someone in this way.
The family would also like to give a very appreciative “Thank You” to the Muskogee County Sheriff’s office for the respect they projected during their escort to the cemetery from Muskogee. They remained with us and maintained the safety of our funeral procession all the way to Gum Springs where the family cemetery is located. Again, they went beyond what I know to be the norm from day to day. The actions of these individuals from Cornerstone and The Muskogee Sheriff’s Office were comforting during our time of grief. It’s nice to know and see people still exhibit empathy and aren’t just doing a job, but are giving true meaning to the term “professional.”
On behalf of the family of Phyllis Ella Worley, thank you and may God bless.

On behalf of the Fort Gibson Athletic Department, I would like to say thank you to all who had a part in making our 38th annual Old Fort Days Basketball Tournament a huge success.
We had so many people donate their time, service, food, and money to our tournament which added to its success. Without your help and support, the tournament would not have been such a great event.
We appreciate the schools, teams, and fans who participated. Once again, thank you all for helping make the tournament one of the best in the state and we look forward to many more to come.
