In regard to Bret Smith’s letter against Larry Moore, I agree with one point; yes, there is a stench coming from the court house but it is not the district attorney’s office. Those causing the stench are not up for election this time. Mr. Smith seems to deal with smoke and mirrors rather than facts. Not all lawyers in Muskogee support Larry’s opponents; not all law enforcement officers support Larry’s opponents.
I encourage you to conduct research and ask questions in order to make an informed decision Tuesday. Find out the motives behind the obvious support the opponents are getting, not “unsubstantiated” allegations, but the true actual facts.
Only one candidate has had prosecution experience dealing with felons and drug cases. That is Larry Moore. I like the smell of honesty, integrity, and a good working relationship with law enforcement. We have a district attorney who does not “look the other way.” Isn’t that what we want?
I am speaking from experience as a retired law enforcement officer who has dealt with police officers in Muskogee County, attorneys in Muskogee County, and court house officials in Muskogee.
