THE PEOPLE SPEAK — Who do you think is trying to do right?

I see a recent article in your paper quotes a federal employee placing the blame on the Republicans for sustaining the government shutdown.

Our country is $17 trillion in debt. What reasonable person would continue to spend, spend, spend if your budget looked this bad? Our Democrat president has said he is unwilling to make any concessions. He wants absolute authority to continue his wild spending spree.

Since no country can sustain this kind of debt for long and still be a first class country, who do you think is really trying to do the right thing to protect our nation?
