Custer County warrants for former Hilldale Public Schools Band Director Danny Brian Giacomo arrived Friday in Muskogee.
Muskogee County Sheriff Charles Pearson said the arrest warrants list five counts of second-degree rape and one count of forcible sodomy.
Custer County prosecutors are seeking a $300,000 bond on the latest charges against Giacomo, Pearson said. Pearson said he is forwarding the warrants to Pittsburgh County because Giacomo is believed to be residing in McAlester.
Giacomo, 36, is free on $150,000 bail for sex-related charges filed in Muskogee County District Court as a result of allegations by Hilldale band members who said they had sex with the former band leader.
He was accused in November of molesting one student and was arrested again in January on new charges alleging he raped and sodomized a second girl.
The second alleged victim is a 14-year-old girl who, according to court records, told authorities she and Giacomo engaged in oral sex and sexual intercourse on a number of occasions.
Giacomo resigned his position at Hilldale on Nov. 14, the day before he was charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor for allegedly molesting a 15-year-old student. Three counts of sodomy, two counts of second-degree rape and one count of lewd molestation were filed against him in January.
Muskogee Police Sgt. Shannon Crary said Friday that school officials signed a waiver allowing chairs from Giacomo’s former office at the school to be taken into evidence. Tests will be performed for DNA evidence on the chairs.
That search warrant return has been sealed to protect the identity of a juvenile, according to Assistant District Attorney Nikki Baker Dotson.
Also obtained this week was a warrant to get Giacomo’s DNA, which was approved Thursday, Dotson said.
