Majority leader to be guest at Boren barbecue

— U.S. Rep. Dan Boren, D-Okla. will host political barbecue at 6 p.m. May 30 at the Muskogee Civic Center arena.
Special guest will be House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., who represents that state’s fifth congressional district.
The event, which costs $10 per person, will feature music, food and other festivities. Organizers said there will be fun for the whole family.
Anyone who would like to help sponsor the event should contact Boren’s campaign office. Sponsors will be invited to attend a reception with Boren, Hoyer and other special guests.
