Manpower commission members honored

Two commission members were honored for their dedicated and distinguished service to the Physician Manpower Training Commission and the State of Oklahoma through their outstanding leadership and tireless advocacy for improved health care to the citizens of Oklahoma recently.
Edward C. Warren from Muskogee served 15 years on the commission. He was appointed by Gov. David Walters in 1993. Warren served on committees dealing with grant proposals, nurse and medical student interviews, agency budget and strategic planning process.
JoAnn Carpenter, M.D. from Ada served 10 years on the commission. She was appointed by Gov. Frank Keating in 1988. Carpenter was also involved with agency in the budget process and served as chairperson on several occasions.
