EMS offers CPR classes

Muskogee County EMS will be offering the following CPR classes during May. All classes are taught using American Heart Association guidelines. Pre-enrollment is required because of limited space.

Classes
May 16
10 a.m.: HealthCare Provider CPR. This class teaches the fundamentals of doing CPR on the adult, child and infant victims. It also teaches the use of a variety of barrier devices and the use of an automatic external defibrillator. The class lasts around six hours.
May 19
9 a.m.: HealthCare Provider Re-certification Course. This class is designed to meet the needs of the HealthCare Provider who has a current CPR card, but is near expiration. The class lasts around four hours.
May 30
10 a.m.: Heartsaver CPR for the adult victim. This class teaches the fundamentals of doing CPR on the adult victim. The class lasts around two hours.
1 p.m. First Aid for the adult victim. This class teaches the fundamentals of emergency first aid. Subjects covered include: medical emergencies, injuries and environmental emergencies. The class lasts around three hours.
