A 25-year-old Muskogee woman has been charged with two counts of child abuse involving her 3-year-old daughter.
Chrissy Annette Campbell, alias Chrissy Annette Hall, made an initial appearance Wednesday in Muskogee County District Court. Her bond was lowered from $50,000 to $20,000. She remained in Muskogee County/City Detention Facility late Wednesday afternoon.
Her attorney, Anthony Desilvey, could not be reached for comment Wednesday afternoon.
The felonies allege Campbell attacked the child with her hands Friday by:
• Punching the child in the face with her fists.
• Willfully and maliciously pulling the child’s hair and dragging her into a bathroom the same day.
Each crime is punishable by not more than life in prison, and/or not more than one year in the county jail and/or a fine of not less that $500 nor more than $5,000, according to court records.
Four different individuals allegedly witnessed various acts of what they considered child abuse, officials said. The mother and child were in a medical office or outside in a parking lot at 333 S. 30th St., when the alleged abuse occurred, police said.
