Mail carriers to pick up food donations Saturday

Area mail carriers have special deliveries to make for area food banks and postal customers can help.
The National Association of Letter Carriers annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will be Saturday.
Mail carriers will collect nonperishable food items such as canned meats, canned fish, soup, vegetables and fruit, rice pasta and cereal.
Special “grocery bags” arrived in area mail boxes earlier this week.
People can help by placing food donations in their mailbox before their mail carriers arrive Saturday. It will be taken ato the Post Office for distribution.
Expired items or food in glass containers will not be accepted.
