Published May 13, 2008 08:11 pm - P.M. UPDATE: Muskogee Board of Education meeting results At its regular meeting tonight, the Muskogee Board of Education:
• Awarded a bid of $273,8000 to Self Construction for cooler/freezer addition at Grant Foreman Elementary. • Approved purchase of a 120-ton chiller from Carrier Corp., at $50,226, for 7th and 8th Grade Center. • Set the last day of school for May 23 for students and last half day for teachers as May 27. • Approved a student exchange program with a high school in Leon, Spain. • Heard report on meeting goal to fund playground equipment for Irving Elementary School. • Recognize Sadler Arts Academy teachers Georgie Chapuis and Ronia Davison, who will tour Europe through a “Fund For Teachers” grant. • Recognized Muskogee High School driver’s education teacher Coleman Hughes and Early Childhood Center teacher Marla Frazier as May Teachers of the Month.
