City manager to look into potential land deal

— City councilors authorized City Manager Greg Buckley to explore a potential land deal for which few details were made available.
The possible acquisition was discussed Tuesday night during an executive session convened at a special meeting called for the purpose of tabulating the election results.
Buckley declined to discuss specifics about the “opportunity” but indicated the real estate could be used for economic development. Buckley did say the property being considered is not a parcel located at South 24th Street West and Peak Boulevard that was rezoned this week from a single-family residential district to a general commercial district.
The executive session was included as an amended agenda item posted Monday after notice of the special meeting was posted Friday.
