• Payment of $300 for a claim filed against the city for repairs to a pillar at the federal courthouse.
• Ratification of the city manager’s signature on an application for a U.S. Department of Justice grant for $216,380.
• Mutual aid agreements between police department and Muskogee County and the town of Porum. Councilor Shawn Raper voted no on the agreement with Porum.
• Becoming a co-applicant with Muskogee County for a grant for road improvements to North Main Street, north of Shawnee Bypass to the city limits.
• Sending the proposed city council advertising policy back to the public works and finance committees for consideration. Councilor Jim Ritchey said striking the item as proposed on the agenda does not publicly answer questions about how the issues of advertising on public property were settled.
• An announcement from Mayor John Tyler Hammons that the flag pole is to be re-installed at the Civic Center. Two speakers asked that the nation’s flag, the Oklahoma flag and a POW-MIA flag be flown at the center. City officials said the pole being installed will accommodate one flag.
