McIntosh County’s new jail will soon be completed By Donna HalesPhoenix Staff Writer “We have talked with them, but nothing has been finalized,” Massie said. “We do have contracts with county jails.
“We told them we would be more interested if there were medium-security beds.” A lot depends on DOC’s fiscal position, he said. “We ran out of contract bed money last year and had to pull some inmates out of counties,” he said.
