Two area students who will be incoming freshmen at Eastern Oklahoma State College have been named as recipients of the Oklahoma State Regent's for Higher Education Academic Scholars Program award.
Colt Richmond, from Stigler, along with Calli Reasnor from Quinton were named as this year's award winners at the Wilburton college. This scholarship will provide these students with full tuition, full room and a $900 cash award per semester while at Eastern.
Richmond will be a pre-veterinarian major while at Eastern. He has maintained a high school GPA of 3.98 and scored a 29 on the ACT. He is the son of Billy and Karen Richmond from Stigler. He is the nephew of Randall and Johnnie Richmond and is the grandson of the late Bill and Annette Richmond and Rosena Roper, all from Crawford County, Ark.
Reasnor will be a general studies major at Eastern with career goals of a profession in Architecture. She maintained a high school GPA of 4.19 and scored 25 on the ACT. She is the daughter of Gary and Greta Reasnor from Quinton.
