The financial services firm Edward Jones was named the No. 2 full-service brokerage firm in the August edition of SmartMoney magazine, according to Sheri Barton, a financial adviser in Muskogee. The firm placed ahead of six other firms and received high marks in the four categories surveyed by the magazine: stock picking, customer satisfaction, trust and customer statements. Edward Jones, which ranked No. 1 in 2007 and 2005, received five-star ratings in the quality of its client statements. Edward Jones provides financial services for individual investors. Every aspect of the firm's business, from the types of investment options offered to the location of branch offices, is designed to cater to individual investors in the communities in which they live and work.
