Several hurt in Cherokee County crash
Two children and a Pryor woman were treated at a Tulsa hospital for injuries sustained in a crash about 13.7 miles north of Tahlequah on Friday morning, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Jennifer Ellen Nofsinger, 34, was driving southbound on Oklahoma 82 about 9:46 a.m. when her 2007 Pontiac G6 was struck a 2001 Chevy Suburban driven by Teresa Ann Rogers, 38, of Locust Grove, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The impact forced Rogers’ vehicle into the path of an oncoming 1999 Ford Windstar van driven by Katheryn Marie Catron, 39, of Stilwell, the OHP report states.
Nofsinger was transported by helicopter to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa,where she was treated for a head and leg injury, the OHP report states. Her two passengers, Abigail Thibodaux, 11, of Chouteau and Allison Nofsinger, 4, of Pryor, were first taken to Tahlequah City Hospital and later transported to St. Francis. Thibodaux was admitted for treatment of a leg injury and Allison Nofsinger, was admitted for treatment of a head injury.
A hospital spokeswoman said Saturday there was no information available on any of the three patients.
Rogers was treated for a leg injury and released at W.W. Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah, according to the OHP.
Also treated and released for leg injuries were Savannah Rogers,14, and Emily Rogers, 13, who were both passengers in the Rogers vehicle. Four other passengers were not injured, the OHP report states.
Neither Catron nor any of her three passengers was injured, the report states, the report states.
Trooper Joseph Couch, who investigated the crash, reported all occupants of the three vehicles had seat belts in use, and the children who were required to have safety seats were using them. The airbag was deployed in the Nofsinger vehicle.
