Published August 20, 2008 10:20 am - AM UPDATE: Rankings affirm IBC’s strength as a market leader International Bancshares Corporation, the parent company of IBC Bank, was recently recognized with two rankings by American Banker as one of the nation’s largest banks and thrifts with the most assets and highest five-year return on equity. IBC placed in the top 150 out of more than 8,500 U.S. banks in the two category rankings. With more than $11 billion in assets, and a 16.9 percent return on five-year equity, IBC’s solid financials propelled the bank onto the list. The recognitions that were released in American Banker’s 2008 third quarter edition add to IBC’s many accolades received in the past year.
International Bancshares Corporation (NASDAQ: IBOC) is an $11 billion multi-bank financial holding company headquartered in Laredo, Texas, with more than 260 facilities and more than 415 ATMs serving 101 communities in Texas and Oklahoma.
