County commissioner candidates tout experience Pevehouse and Wright, the top two vote-getters in the July 29 primary election to determine the Democratic nominee, will square off Tuesday in the primary runoff election. Because no Republicans filed for the office, Tuesday’s election will determine which candidate will serve District 2 residents the next four years.
Voting • In-person absentee voting will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Monday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at county Election Boards. • Polling places will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 26. Meet the candidates NAME: Ronnie Pevehouse. AGE: 54. POLITICAL PARTY: Democrat. HOMETOWN: Webbers Falls. FAMILY: Wife, Dianna; son, Casey; daughter, Roni Lynn; four grandchildren. OCCUPATION: Rancher, District 2 county commissioner. EDUCATION: Webbers Falls High School graduate, attended Connors State College and Oklahoma State University.
