Published August 25, 2008 11:56 pm - College of the Muscogee Nation receives award OKMULGEE — The College of the Muscogee Nation announced that an award of $50,000 from Video Gaming Technologies, Inc. (VGT) was given for their scholarship fund.
Presenting the award from VGT was Jay Sevigney, president, James Starr, vice president of Sales, John Marley and Gary Carlson VGT representatives. The College of the Muscogee Nation (CMN) is a two-year associate degree level higher education institution and one of four tribal colleges within the state. CMN offers Muscogee tribal citizens who qualify, academic scholarships, including tuition, books, fees and campus housing. Members of other federally recognized tribes may be eligible for a tuition waiver. Degree plans offered are Police Science, Native American Studies, Tribal Services and Gaming. Gaming courses are taught on site at Creek Nation Tulsa Casino, as well as in Okmulgee and beginning Fall 2008, at Creek Nation Muskogee Casino.
