Cherokees plan to host cancer survivor dinner

The Cherokee Nation will be hosting the ninth annual Breast Cancer Survivor Dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 25 in the Herb Rozell Ballroom at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.
Any breast cancer survivor and one guest may attend. The theme for the event is PinkHope. There is no cost to attend.
The keynote speaker will be Marcella Morton, a Cherokee Nation citizen from Westville who was awarded the 2007 Steps Hero national award by the Centers for Disease Control for her community fitness advocacy.
