UPDATE: Event set to educate seniors about fraud As the world changes and personal information becomes less and less private, increasing numbers of vulnerable adults, including some seniors, are being taken advantage of. The solution to many of these cases of fraud is education, which can change would-be victims into smart consumers.
To help, the 4th annual Upside of Aging Expo and Oklahoma Seniors Against Fraud event is set for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday in the Exchange Building at the Tulsa Fairgrounds. This is a great time to come down and hear about elder care issues. There will be booths, workshops and speakers. Speakers include: Tulsa Police Department; Commissioner Kim Holland, Oklahoma Insurance Department; Tim Harris, District Attorney; Jackie Lenzy, Alzheimer's Association; Public Service Company; Cindy Loftin, LIFE Senior Services; Sean Voskyhl, AARP. The event is free and open to the public.
