WW II veteran launched family tradition By Keith PurtellPhoenix Staff Writer “He joined the Marines before he got out of school,” Williams said. “He has talked about making a career out of it. He’s been in the Marines approximately three years. He called me in August, and we talked for about 30 minutes.”
