Assistant District Attorney Grant Huskey resumed his duties after serving in the Middle East, said District Attorney Jerry S. Moore.

Huskey is a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He was deployed on April 7 and was stationed in Qatar. There he served as the director of logistics for the Joint Psychological Operations Task Force which supported military psychological operations throughout the Middle East. He returned to the United States on Oct. 10 and resumed his duties as assistant district attorney Oct. 20.

Two additional assistant district attorneys for the Wagoner County office also have been hired.

B.J. Baker of Tahlequah received his Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern State University where he graduated magna cum laude. He earned his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law in May 2008. While in law school, he received the CALI Award for Excellence in Advanced Legal Writing.

A native of Nowata, Chip Garrett is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and earned his law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He is a former trial attorney with the Tax Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.

Garrett practiced law in Huntsville, Ark., and served as district judge in Madison County, Ark. Garrett also taught at the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas.

Before returning to Oklahoma, Garrett was an associate professor of law at Faulkner University's Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Ala.
