The search for missing 13-year-old Cori Baker of Tulsa has shifted to the Taft area, where first-degree murder and kidnapping suspect Marquis Bullock has relatives, officials said.
Baker has been missing since Nov. 9, when Bullock, her sister’s boyfriend, picked her up at Union School.
Bullock earlier told Tulsa police he and Baker were playing by the Arkansas River when she fell in, Pearson said. But an extensive search has not produced her body.
Muskogee County Sheriff Charles Pearson said he spoke with Tulsa police Thursday evening and learned Bullock’s mother lives in the Taft area.
Pearson said his mounted patrol probably will help in the search and he has offered to set up a command center and assist in any way.
Bullock remains in the David L. Moss Correctional Center in Tulsa, where he had been held since Nov. 13 on murder and kidnapping complaints. No formal charges have been filed.
