The Federal Tax Forms normally available early in the year at the Muskogee Public Library will be delayed by several weeks, due to a possible change in Federal Tax Law, said Karen Thomas, Outreach Reference librarian, who coordinates tax forms for the Muskogee Public Library.
“When we receive the federal forms, they will be available on the second floor of the library,” she said.
Individuals can locate more information about forms, publications, where to file, and more at http://www.irs.gov/ or by calling toll free (800) 829-3676.
Thomas said taxpayers need to be advised early that the state will no longer send tax forms to libraries, with the exception of the Sales Tax Refund to individual taxpayers. These will be available on the second floor of the library.
Oklahoma tax information and forms can be found on the Internet site: http://www.oktax.state.ok.us or by calling (800) 522-8165, ext. 13108. A taxpayer can have the Oklahoma form mailed to them after they call and request a form. If a taxpayer decides to use the library’s free Internet computers to print the Oklahoma tax forms, it will cost 10 cents per page, and to print the entire tax booklet the cost will be $4.I0.
