Braggs man awaiting sentence out on bond

A Braggs man awaiting sentencing for manslaughter was given a bond Tuesday for a separate charge.

Billy Edward Haworth, 35, was ordered held without bond last week after being charged with:

• Possession of controlled dangerous substance.

• Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Transporting an open container of beer.

Special District Judge Robin Adair ordered Haworth’s bond set at $100,000 Tuesday.

Haworth pleaded blind to a manslaughter charge in March for a 2010 crash that killed Hank Glass. Haworth will return to court April 30 for a sounding docket on the new charges.
