A.M. UPDATE: Oklahoma Supreme Court judge's daughter out of prison

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The daughter of Oklahoma Supreme Court Justice James Edmondson and the niece of Attorney General Drew Edmondson has been released from prison.

Louisiana Department of Correction spokeswoman Pam Laborde said Wednesday that Sarah Edmondson, formerly of Muskogee, left the Louisiana Institute for Women in St. Gabriel on Friday. Laborde says the rest of Sarah Edmondson's parole will be supervised in Oklahoma.

Sarah Edmondson was sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to armed robbery and other charges connected to a violent 1995 crime spree.

She and then-boyfriend, Benjamin Darras of Tahlequah were 18 when Darras fatally shot businessman William Savage in Hernando, Miss., and Sarah Edmondson wounded Ponchatoula, La., store clerk Patsy Byers.

Byers was paralyzed. She died of cancer in 1997.
