Adair County man slain; suspect jailed

Agents from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation were called to Adair County to assist with a fatal shooting, according to a release from the OSBI.

The body of Rickey Lee Harlin, 52, was found by Adair County sheriff’s deputies outside his home at a rural route outside of Stilwell at approximately 6:30 p.m. Friday. Harlin appeared to have been shot, the release states.

Rodney Wilson, 38, was arrested at the scene and booked into the Adair County Jail on a complaint of first-degree murder. The release states that the investigation is ongoing, but “it appears Wilson went to Harlin's home where a confrontation ensued.”
