Trial ordered in molestation case

A Porum man accused of molesting two girls has been bound over for trial, said Dan Medlock, Muskogee County assistant district attorney.

Aaron Kevin Jones, 18, was bound over for trial following testimony during a preliminary hearing Thursday before Special District Judge Robin Adair.

Two counts of lewd molestation were filed against Jones on Sept. 26, court records state.

The children — ages 7 and 9 at the times of the alleged offenses — testified during the preliminary hearing, Medlock said.

District court arraignment for Jones is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Feb. 6, Medlock said.

Jones is being held in the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility on $100,000 bond, said a jail representative.
