Pets available for adoption today

Pets from Muskogee Animal Shelter will be available for adoption from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Petco, 938 W. Shawnee. Adoption fees will be $30, which includes spay/neuter and rabies shots.

Some of the pets that will be at Petco today are: Hank, a tri-colored all-American breed, June, a small breed all-American dog; Martin, a bassett/blue heeler mix; Mondo, a small Jack Russell terrier mix; Farrah, a small black-and-tan mix breed; and Maggie, a setter mix.

Muskogee Animal Shelter is overflowing with pets. The shelter is also seeking people to foster animals if you are not sure you want to adopt. There is no fee for fostering.

The shelter needs space immediately, or animals may have to be put to sleep to make room.
