— A juvenile was arrested after police say he shot a man twice early Wednesday.

Wagoner Police Department Deputy Chief Tony Ponds said Brent Blue, 18, was shot just after 4 a.m. Wednesday.

Blue’s condition was stabilized in a Tulsa hospital, Ponds said.

“But you know, you never know with shootings,” he said. “But they said he’s been stabilized.”

Ponds said the shooting happened at an apartment complex at 611 SW Sixth St.

A Wagoner County Detention Center employee said a juvenile was being held on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill, but the employee would not name the juvenile.

Ponds said more information — including a motive for the shooting, and the juvenile’s name — would be released Thursday.

“We’ve only got one investigator here and he’s been working hard all day,” Ponds said. “We all have been. No one’s gotten any sleep, and I like to have everything lined up and done correctly. So I told everyone to go home, and that we’d file all this stuff (Thursday) and make sure and get it right.”

Two juveniles were arrested just after 4:30 a.m. in Muskogee when an officer spotted a vehicle matching the description circulated by Wagoner police following the shooting.

The second juvenile’s name and booking information was not released.

“He’s a juvenile as well, so that stuff will have to come out (Thursday) when I can be sure we’ve got it correct,” Ponds said.

Two names were included in Muskogee 911 dispatcher logs, but Wagoner jail employees would not confirm if the names were those of the jailed suspects.
