Women’s history program today

— The public is invited to attend a Women’s History Program at noon today at Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center, 1011 Honor Heights Drive, according to a media release.

The program features Dr. Virginia Whitekiller, dean of social work at Northeastern State University.

Whitekiller received her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State University in 1987 and her master’s from Washington University in St. Louis in 1995. She received her doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Oklahoma State University in 2004.

This year’s theme is “Women Veterans Make History.” Veterans will be recognized with a small gift.

The program is sponsored by the Federal Women’s Program and Tulsa Vet Center. Light refreshments will be served.
