Porum man jailed after 2-vehicle crash

— A Porum man was jailed following a crash that sent a Warner man to a Tulsa hospital.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol Report states Ronnie Miller, 25, was jailed after being involved in the crash while attempting to elude troopers.

The trooper’s report states Miller was northbound on Oklahoma 2 about 4:28 p.m. Monday, attempting to elude a trooper when he tried to pass and struck a 1986 Dodge driven by Carl Shipley, 62, of Warner.

Shipley was taken to St. John Medical Center with head injuries. He was listed in good condition Tuesday, a hospital spokeswoman said. Shipley’s wife, Deborah Shipley, 63, was treated and released, the OHP report states.

The report states Miller was not wearing his seat belt, but his vehicle’s airbag did deploy. The Shipleys were both wearing seat belts, according to the report. Their vehicle did not have an airbag.
